5 | Designing Learning Environments that Cultivate Positive Mindsets

When students believe their intelligence grows with effort, that learning in school has value to them, and that they belong in their school community, their engagement, perseverance, and attendance can improve. However, the process of activating these learning mindsets does not happen in a bubble nor from a single lesson. Creating the right learning environment for students to not only develop, but practice and apply their mindsets, is critical. In this session, participants will reflect on ways that school practices and structures can support students in developing and applying these mindsets.
